CHRIST HAS RISEN!
Easter is the traditional name for the celebration of Jesus’ rising from the grave. However, we here at First Park celebrate Resurrection Sunday, remembering His Cross in which every member of the human race can enter into the life of God, and by His Resurrection, His right to give eternal life to whosoever and by His Ascension, when our Lord entered into Heaven, keeping the door open for all humanity.

In John 11:23-26, He says “I am the Resurrection” (He raises those who are dead in sin) “and the Life” (He gives to them eternal life). Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying physically. Jesus has power over life and death, as well as, power to forgive sins. This is because He is the creator of life. “If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:6)
He who is life can surely restore life: whoever believes in Christ has a spiritual life that death cannot conquer or diminish in any way. When we realize, His power and how wonderful His offer to us really is, how can we not commit our lives to Him? What a wonderful assurance we have First Park, “because I live, you will also live”. (John 14:19)
In John 11:23, Christ assures Martha that her brother shall rise again. She interprets this to mean “yes, I know in the last day!” He encourages her that God is able to meet her needs in the present, as well as, the future. Beyond that, those who really have Christ’s life shall never die. And yes Lord, we believe this here at First Park.
This is the good news— the grave is empty! “He is Risen…He Lives!”
“Be Blessed”
